We monitor and advocate on multiple state and federal healthcare and health justice issues.

Our Goals:

• Establishing single-payer healthcare at the state and national levels, specifically advocating for the NY Health Act and Medicare for All

• Interim support for the ACA and the NYS exchange
• Affordable access to contraceptives and abortion
• Regulation of so-called “Crisis Pregnancy Centers”
• Research and action on racism in healthcare
• Protection of CHIP and Community Health Centers
• Protection of immigrant healthcare rights
• Food justice: community empowerment, education, and universal access to healthy food
• Control of pharmaceutical prices
• Research and action on gun safety
• Protection of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid
